Firstly, happy last day of October! Secondly, it is year 6 here and we just had to come on to tell you about our new book we are reading in DEAR Time, October October by Katya Balen. And well, it is just WONDERFUL. We are hooked. It is told in such a beautiful, descriptive way. It just ignites your imagination and you go into October’s world. Mixed in with her make-believe is a more serious storyline about her relationship with her mum who she hasn’t seen for 4 years. October lives in the woods with her dad and hasn’t been into the city for years… life in simpler in the forest. But then dad needs to go to hospital, mum turns up and everything starts to change… We can’t wait to find out what happens!
