Year 1 The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr

In 1CC, we’re currently reading “The Tiger Who Came to Tea" by Judith Kerr.

The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be? What they certainly don't expect to see at the door is a big, furry, stripy tiger!

Vincent says, “ I think the book is funny because the tiger eats all the food"

Alayah says, "I love when daddy comes home, he takes them out to a café for tea."

Havana says, "i really like the little girl in the story because she is very kind and lets the tiger join them for tea."

This is our first week of reading this story and we absolutely love it! We have even had a letter from the tiger and we are now writing a set of instructions on how to make a jam sandwich, just incase he wants to come to our houses for tea! We would give this book 4 star out of 5 because the tiger left the house a mess at the end of the story.
