In 4AC, we are currently reading The Abominables by Eva Ibbotson!
High on the Himalayan mountains, a young explorer is asleep in her tent. At midnight she is snatched by a gigantic, hairy monster – and never seen again. Agatha Farlingham has been kidnapped by a yeti. But she soon discovers that he is a brave and noble beast. His family is in danger – and he needs her help.
Blessed says, “I like the Abominables as it is really easy to follow and understand. The story is really exciting and I’m really intrigued to find out what happens further on in the story. I wonder whether she’ll end up living with them forever.”
Lois says, “The Abominables is very interesting because first she gets kidnapped by a yeti, but later on ends up caring for him and his children. I think that somebody will end up coming after the yeti and his family and Agatha will help to save them.”
So far we’re really enjoying this book. At first we feared for Agatha’s safety after being kidnapped. but, we’re really happy that the yeti hasn’t harmed her and she is helping to care for them and teaching them to speak English and wonder what exciting things are going to happen further in the story.
