Nursery What the Ladybird Heard by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks

Nursery 1 are currently reading ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks.

The ladybird said never a word. But the ladybird saw and the ladybird heard…

When the ladybird overhears Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len's plan to steal the farmer’s fine prize cow, it’s up to her to find her voice and come up with a plan of her own to stop them.

Thomas says “The thieves want to steal the cow.  The animals make them go the wrong way and they fall in the pond. The farmer calls the police”

Mia says “It is funny… the animals make the wrong noises.”

Mason says “The bad men get tricked by the animals and they fall in the pond… SPLASH!”

This is a lovely story that we are all enjoying reading – well worth a 5-star rating. The children have already asked to read the other books in the series.
