Year 2 Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl

Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl

2AJ have been hooked at our reading book this half term! - 'Fantastic Mr Fox' by Roald Dahl.

We have been taken on a journey with foxes and friends, who are stuck underground, hiding away from the three furious farmers; Boggis, Bunce and Bean! After eating their crops and pinching their chickens, the farmers make a cunning plan to catch and kill Mr Fox & family! But the FANTASTIC Mr Fox has an even better plan to stay underground and burrow his way to find food for his family and have delicious feasts, completely unbeknown to the three farmers, waiting for that moment that they come out of the burrow!

Lottie says "I love it when he runs away after getting his tail chopped off but he still finds a way to do everything for his family!"

Anaya says "He is so clever! I love it because when he seems to nearly get caught, he always comes up with the most amazing ideas and looks after everyone!!!"

Thapelo says "Fantastic Mr Fox is such a good book because I love that Mr Fox just never gave up until his family were safe and fed and he defeated the crazy farmers who were waiting to kill him!"

We wish there was a second book to see what would happen if they ever came up above land again! We give this book 5 stars and we look forward to reading more of Roald Dahl's amazing stories.
